DR. KEIRA FIKA
Dr. Keira Fika grew up in Sherwood Park, Alberta where she did her undergrad at the University of Alberta. She then went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude with her doctorate of Chiropractic at Palmer West in San Jose, California. In her last six months of school Dr. Fika traveled to Des Moines, Iowa where she provided care for veterans at the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs.
In March 2018 Dr. Fika was selected to present her research on chronic migraines at the Association of Chiropractic Colleges- Research Agenda Conference in Baltimore.
Dr. Fika utilizes many different techniques in her practice and believes this is an integral part of health care, as every person is different and responds differently to care. Some techniques she uses are manual adjustments, Mckenzie method, soft tissue mobilization, cold laser therapy (Theralase), activator, Thompson drop and exercise/rehabilitation.
In her spare time Dr. Fika enjoys running marathons, hiking, and traveling. She believes in looking at each patient with individual needs and knows there is a physical, emotional and psychological aspect to health care and wellness. She hopes to bring a unique flare to the Brix Family and the Okanagan community.
