Aram Masee

Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner

Aram graduated from the Doctor of Chinese Medicine Program at the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in Nelson, BC. There he learned the importance of considering both Eastern and Western thought when approaching health and wellness, and developed a patient-focused compassionate approach to health and healing, focusing on prevention of illness and maintenance of health.

He uses acupuncture, herbs, Chinese massage, cupping and Chinese heat therapy (moxibustion) to treat illnesses such as chronic and acute pain, depression, anxiety, insomnia, headaches, digestive issues, asthma, allergies, rashes and other skin disorders, reproductive health, and seasonal immune boosting to prevent colds and help during flu season.

In addition to five years of school in Chinese Medicine, he has seven years of training in various Chinese medical exercise systems, called 气功 qigong, translated as 'mind-body relationship work'.  He uses this practice to focus on the medical application of positive mind-body integration, personal discovery, and frequent use of proprioceptive exercise prescription.  This promotes patient health when the patient is outside of the clinic environment.

He stays focused on patient health through observation, diagnostics and treatment of the presenting illness using both the most positive and effective techniques, as well as patient partnership to achieve maximum benefit.

His clinical motto is — “Through the self, know others”.
