ALICIA HARRISON
Registered Massage Therapist, Vodder Certified Lymphatic Therapist
Alicia Harrison, BC born and raised, obtained her massage therapy diploma in 2014 from the 3000-hour program at OVCMT in Vernon. Her passion for massage was driven by an empathetic desire to help others. Recognizing stress and chronic pain in those around her, while facing her own migraines, tension headaches and sporting injuries over the years, she realized how important it is to take care of our bodies.
After graduating college, she attended the Dr. Vodder School in Victoria and obtained her full certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and Combined Decongestive Therapy (CDT) in order to work with a broader spectrum of patients. Alicia then returned to the Okanagan to set down roots, begin her massage therapy practice and enjoy the outdoors.
Alicia's treatment style is based on Swedish massage, incorporating myofascial, deep tissue, lymphatic drainage and instrument assisted techniques, trigger point release, neuromuscular therapy and stretching. Her goal is to educate clients on postural awareness, movement, hydrotherapy and therapeutic exercises that they can incorporate easily into their routines. Alicia loves working with a varied clientele and welcomes new patients from all walks of life into her practice. Every individual is so unique and that keeps things interesting!
